Your NDIS plan focuses on your goals and supports you and enables you to live an ordinary life. Each year, your plan is reviewed, and the NDIA planners or Local Area Co-ordinators will focus on your progress towards or achievement of your goals. They will also work with you to identify your goals and support needs for the following year.

What happens at your NDIS Plan Review?

The NDIA planner or Local Area Co-ordinator will contact you about two months out from the expiry date of your plan to set up a meeting. You can choose the date, time and location that suits you, and you can bring a representative, advocate or support person with you.

The meeting will be similar to your initial planning meeting, except the planner will now have your history of support and budget expenditure to draw on; as well as quarterly reports provided by your support co-ordinator, if you have one.

Your NDIS Plan review will look at:

  • Your previous review summaries – you can bring forward matters for follow-up.
  • Your outcomes against your goals and objectives.
  • Your satisfaction and the effectiveness of your supports.
  • Your goals and objectives for the next 12 months.
  • Whether you want to modify your supports, for example the type of support, how often you receive it and who provides it.
  • How you used your budget, and what budget you need for the next year.
  • Whether you would like support co-ordination and who you would like to provide it.
  • Your preference for plan management – NDIS, Plan Manager, Self-Managed or combination, and who you would like to provide it (if not self-managed).

What you need to do

It’s a good idea to reflect on your goals and objectives, before you go to your NDIS Plan Review meeting. One way to do this is use our BlueCare NDIS planning app to create or update your pre-plan information.

Also, consider the supports you currently receive under your NDIS Plan, and whether you would like to add new ones. BlueCare offers a broad range of disability and lifestyle supports.

If you already receive supports from BlueCare, we will periodically review your plan with you so you can be well prepared for your annual NDIS plan review meeting.
