Hyperdome Shopping Centre is spreading festive cheer with a special delivery of baskets filled with games, goodies and Christmas treats to residents at BlueCare Springwood’s Yurana residential home.

The donation – which included packs of puzzles, board games, colouring-in books and stationery – is part of Hyperdome’s ‘A Little Thanks’ community program, aimed at supporting local groups.

Yurana Springwood Residential Services Manager Merja Wilhelmsson – who accepted the donation on behalf of the team - said residents were delighted by the Hyperdome bundle.

“We were thrilled to receive the parcels on behalf of residents at our Yurana facility,” she said.

“They got to unwrap the hampers after bingo was finished and the smiles on their faces were wonderful.”

Hyperdome Marketing Manager Charlotte Hall said the recent gift drop follows the success of the Centre’s Hot Cross Bun drive earlier this year, with bundles of Easter treats delivered to homes to brighten the lives of seniors amid COVID-19 restrictions.

“The ‘A Little Thanks’ campaign is simply about letting every community member know we care – inspiring connection, kindness and gratitude across the Logan region, and beyond,” she said.

“We hope the baskets filled with puzzles, games and Christmas treats will be shared and enjoyed by all residents.

“It’s been an incredibly tough year for many senior residents in our community and we wanted to show our support through this special delivery.”
