Why are these changes happening?

Our aim has always been for you to remain independent and happy in your own home for as long as possible. As a not-for-profit care provider, we endeavour to keep costs as low as possible for people choosing our services. However, our recent annual review has identified the need to change the amount you are charged for BlueCare services. There are two key factors influencing these changes. The first is to include cost-of-living increases since our last review. The second is to align our pricing structure with the Government’s policy on client contribution amounts.

When are these changes taking effect?

The amount that most clients are charged for BlueCare services changed on 1 April 2019. However, in response to the unprecedented weather conditions that have affected North and Central Queensland, we have postponed the price change in affected communities for three months. As a result, the amount charged for BlueCare services in these areas will only be changing on 1 July 2019. You will see these changes reflected on your July invoice which you will receive in early August 2019.
