Blue Care started as the Blue Nursing Service in 1953 and has grown into one of Australia's leading providers of community health and residential aged care, caring for more than 12,500 people every day.
We are one of the many not-for-profit organisations that provide health care as part of UnitingCare Queensland, a network of Uniting Church agencies dedicated to assisting individuals, families and communities.
Find out why Blue Care is regarded as an organisation of choice by clients and residents.
On 24 August 1953, Sister Olive Crombie of the Blue Nursing Service set off by tram to visit a patient, recording the first ever house call by the service now known as Blue Care.
We promote and deliver quality caring services based on the compassion of Christ. Our culture encourages innovation and supports learning.
