Allied health services

Blue Care offers professional allied health services to individuals in therapy centres, clinics, residential facilities and at home. Allied health services are aimed at assisting people to maximise their independence and enjoyment in daily life. Services are provided by staff from a variety of disciplines such as physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech pathology, podiatry, dietetics, social work and music therapy.

Allied health staff provide:

• assessment of presenting difficulties with planning of appropriate treatment, care and education
• rehabilitation services
• health education programs to assist clients, residents and carers to maximise their ability to cope with the physical and emotional demands of daily living
• assessment and/or advice about equipment such as wheelchairs, mobility aids, orthotics/footwear, communication aids and home modifications.
