Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update

Updated: 4pm Friday 8 October

To contain the spread of COVID-19 and to keep our residents and staff safe, we are currently monitoring and restricting some visitors in accordance with the Queensland Health Aged Care Direction.

You should not visit if you:

  • have travelled overseas (not including Government recognised Safe Travel Zones) or from a declared hot spot, place of concern or an exposure venue or had close contact with a person who has COVID-19 in the previous 14 days.
  • are unwell or sick with symptoms such as a fever (37.5 degrees or more), a cough, runny nose, sore throat, breathing difficulties and/or loss of taste and/or loss of smell.
  • are waiting on COVID-19 test results.

Thank you for your understanding. Our dedicated teams are doing their best to keep everyone safe and well.

Latest Hotspots

Hotspots are places in Australia where health officials have identified large numbers of people with COVID-19, or places that are at risk of large numbers of COVID-19 infections. Hotspots are legally listed so that people travelling from those high-risk areas into Queensland can be identified.

Visitors who have returned from a Queensland Health defined ‘hotspot’ are not permitted within a Blue Care residential facility. Exemptions can be for end of life visits, please contact the facility manager to discuss. For the most update locations visit:
