Bequests

Leave a lasting legacy and help others by remembering Blue Care in your Will

Blue Care is fortunate to have the support of many wonderful people: our staff, volunteers, and donors. Some of these people make the decision to continue to support Blue Care into the future by including a bequest in their Will, ensuring their compassion and concern for the community becomes their legacy.

help others by remembering Blue Care in your will...

Your commitment

Thanks to the generous support of the people of Queensland and New South Wales, we've been serving local communities for more than 50 years.

We are grateful to the many caring people who have matched our commitment with theirs in the form of bequests.

There are various types of bequests, the most common forms include:

  • a gift of money or income from your estate
  • a gift of property, shares, bonds, life insurance, furniture, etc.

If you are considering a bequest to Blue Care, your solicitor would need to include an appropriate clause in your Will.

Correct wording to remember us

To continue to support Blue Care after your lifetime, your bequest must use the following wording:

'I bequeath (description)_________________________ to the Uniting Church in Australia Property Trust (Q.) for the general purposes of BLUE CARE, (region/centre or facility) _____________________________, PO Box 1638, Milton BC 4064, and declare the signature of the Secretary for the time being, of the said Trust to be sufficient for discharge for my trustees.'

You may prefer to leave money or assests in your Will by establishing your own named fund. The Queensland Community Foundation is a public charitable trust, established and managed by the Public Trustee of Queensland. Blue Care has an established Fund set up with the Queensland Community Foundation; you may establish your named Trust within the Blue Care Fund.

Perhaps you would like to discuss the idea of a bequest with us in more detail. To arrange a confidential appointment or to obtain further information, please phone our Planned Giving Officer on 07 3377 3395 or 1800 001 953.
