  As from February 2010 applications for research to be conducted within Blue Care will be reviewed by the Uniting Care Queensland Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC). 

  The Blue Care HREC will not be operating as from February 2010.

  Applications for the February 9th HREC meeting are to be submitted by Friday 22nd January.

As part of this commitment the organisation pursues a range of research activity that helps Blue Care to become a national leader in quality care. Blue Care is involved in a large range of research projects that have the potential to address barriers to quality care and result in enhanced care for clients. The outcomes of research have far reaching possibilities for the delivery of health care services in the health, community and residential aged care sectors.

The Best Practice Unit undertakes a broad range of research activity that aims to enhance the implementation of evidence-based practice throughout Blue Care.

The Best Practice Unit is based within the Business Improvement Team (Organisational Development Unit) at Head Office.
