Q. How do I or my relative get into a high care
facility (nursing home)?
A. We do not have a waiting list, we admit people
with the highest needs at that point in time. Please contact the Aged
Care Assessment Team if your need changes as they liaise regularly
with us. You are welcome to make an appointment with the Director
of Nursing to have an inspection of our facility and discuss any concerns.
Q. Do you have Dementia Specific Accomodation?
A. Blue Care does have dementia units where there is secure safe accommodation and skilled staff who are dedicated to the care of people with dementia. Please use our "find a centre" search function to locate a Blue Care centre near you.
Q. Do you have Respite care available?
A. Yes. Please use our "find

Q. I am having problems at home due to frailty and/or
age. What type of help can Blue Care give?
A. Blue Care staff can visit and do a full assessment
and can then put in place appropriate assistance eg. home help,
respite and refer on to other agencies if needed.
Q. I am coping with most things but find I need
help with bathing. What type of help can Blue Care give?
A. Blue Care staff can visit and do a full assessment
and can then put in place appropriate assistance. If required, visits
for bathing assistance will be arranged on a regular basis.
