Maintaining quality of care
Blue Care is committed to continuous quality of care improvement and believes that quality outcomes are achieved by:
- promoting, developing, and monitoring the integration of quality management and best practice principles throughout the organisation
- the implementation of best practice initiatives.
We recognise that accreditation is a vital process in organisational improvement and achievement of a standard of excellence in care delivery. Processes such as accreditation assist organisations to improve overall performance, ensuring the provision of strong leadership, the establishment of a culture of continuous quality improvement, and a focus on clients and outcomes.
The accreditation process involves Blue Care submitting its centres and services for review by an independent agency such as:
- Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHS)
- Residential Aged Care Accreditation Standards (RACAS)
- ISO 9000
