Gifts in Kind

A gift in kind is an item of value other than cash donated to Blue Care.

Most gifts come from people who have either received our care or have been impressed with the level of care given to a family member or loved one. It gives them pleasure to see a timeless treasure or practical offering so gratefully received. Gifts in kind may also be made by a business or service club.

A gift is a way of saying thank you and helps us to continue providing our diverse care services to the community. Gifts large and small help promote the well-being of our clients and their families. Gifts such as land or buildings can be a valuable asset for making a philanthropic gift.

While we appreciate all gifts, we will determine whether the personal property meets certain guidelines before agreeing to accept it.

Examples of gifts in kind include:

  • medical supplies or equipment
  • catering supplies
  • land and buildings.
