Are you a Personal Care Worker looking for the next step up in your career?
Blue Care currently has a vacancy for a part-time (50hrs/ftnt) permanent Senior Care Worker in our Personal Care Program at Southside Community Centre based in Coopers Plains.
The purpose of your role is to assist in implementing and documenting programs and activities which meet the identified needs of frail aged and people with disabilities. You will be reporting to the Coordinator/Nurse Managers.
As Senior Care Worker, you will:
• Assist the Coordinator to plan, implement, document and review the delivery of client services
• Work with clients and carers to provide input to individual care plans and client assessments
• Provide supervision to personal care workers to promote a team approach to client care
• Comply with organisational policies and procedures
• Assist with the orientation of new staff
• Participate in the performance development system
To be considered for this role, you will need:
• Current Queensland Driver’s licence
• Current First Aid Certificate
• Certificate IV in Aged Care or equivalent
• Experience in the planning, documenting and delivery of community based care services (preferable).
• Knowledge of community care services
• Knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements
• High oral and written communication skills and computer skills
• Australian Federal Police Check - Please note that all employees of Blue Care must have a Police Check with the AFP on commencement. This is a local position, and a valid visa and work permit for Australia is also required to be considered for the position.
