Our Team
At Blue Care, a team of professionals work together to create an environment of excellence and care at all levels of the organisation.
We employ more than 8,000 staff and are grateful for the 2,200 volunteers who give their time to support our care teams and provide vital complementary services.
Our team includes generalist and specialist nurses, as well as allied health professionals such as physiotherapists, occupational therapists, social workers, podiatrists, speech pathologists and dieticians. We also value our personal carers, respite carers, domestic assistants and Chaplains.
How we deliver
We continue to empower, motivate and support our staff. They are the main reason we have been able to deliver almost 3.5 million occasions of service, care for over 4,300 residents daily through our residential aged care and support 1,000 people in our retirement villages.
Our staff work for our organisation because they truly want to make a difference in their community.
Recognition
We have been recognised by the Queensland Government, and in May 2010, we were awarded a prestigious Queensland Government Reconciliation Award for Business, recognising our teamwork and commitment to employing and supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders.
We are also trusted for our level of professionalism and are a key partner in the $28 million grant for the Queensland University of Technology's Co-operative Research Centre for Wound Management Innovation. Again, this places us at the leading edge of initiatives to support an ageing population.
