Queensland Government 2010 Reconciliation Award for Business

Blue Care has received a prestigious Queensland Government 2010 Reconciliation Award for Business.

The award recognises Blue Care's commitment to employing, supporting and training Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff, and improving access to health and aged care services for Indigenous people.

Premier's Award as a 2009 'Queensland Great'

Blue Care was awarded the Premier's Award as a 'Queensland Great'. The award recognises the state's high achievers who have made an extraordinary life-time contribution to Queensland as a charity. Blue Care was the only institution to be awarded, alongside five other individuals from medicine, business, academia and the arts.

Blue Care accepted the award and a plaque was displayed at Roma Street Parklands.

Blue Care voted a Q150 Icon

Blue Care was voted by the public to be a Q150 Icon in the Innovations and Inventions category during Queensland's 150 years of independence celebrations in 2009.

Fleet Safety award

Blue Care has won national praise for encouraging driver safety among its staff and volunteers, winning an Australian Fleet Managers Association (AFMA) Award in Melbourne in September 2010.

The award, one of only three national awards given annually by AFMA, recognised Blue Care's best practice in fleet safety.
